Jeremy Leonard, BLS eighth grader, participated in the Twin Cities Kids Marathon. A 5K (@ 3.1 miles) race that is held in conjunction with the Twin Cities Marathon. Jeremy finished with a time of 21:14, which is 6.42 per mile, placing first in his age division, 15th out of 96 runners under 21, 58th out of 683 males and 65th overall out of 1819 runners. Ask him to see his medal!!
Congratulations to the Eagle Cross Country team. 35 runners participated in the meet on Wednesday, October19,
at Maplewood Heights Park in Maplewood. The Eagles captured 12 out of 24 medals and swept the boys 8th grade event.
Many runner were able to achieve their personal best.
Medalist include 5th grade – Cozy Birkholz 2nd, Tyler Salzwedel 2nd, 6th grade – Bailey Bakken 1st, Brendon Bittorf 2nd,
Corey Wales 3rd, 7th grade – Sydney Yotter 1st, Hannah Barrott 2nd, Devon Genrick 2nd, Matthew Richard 3rd,
8th grade – Jeremy Leonard 1st with a new school record, Justin Higgins 2nd, Cal Elander 3rd. To God Be the Glory !!
